Who is Hunt Archbold?

You may not know who Hunt Archbold is, but there’s a good chance you’ve encountered his work. A successful working member of the sports media in print, television and radio for more than two decades, Hunt has covered it all. From the Olympics to Super Bowls to college football national championship games to World Series to Final Fours and everything in between, Hunt has been there and done that. Currently an award-winning sports editor and columnist for The Sunday Paper (www.sundaypaper.com) in Atlanta, Hunt has also been an outstanding professional sports handicapper for the past nine years. He’s worked alongside the likes of Stu Feiner and countless others. Hunt has been the behind the scenes analyst and written word for several handicappers over the years including Stu Feiner. Maybe you’ve heard his voice over the years on a popular national scorephone. Maybe you haven’t, but one thing’s for sure, Hunt knows this business inside and out. Hunt Archbold is a real person, utilizing two decades of experience as well as daily in-depth analysis to break down games to make real winning selections that he stands behind. He graduated from North Carolina State University where he began his journalism career writing one of his first stories on the late Jim Valvano, whom he got to know on a more personal level. Hunt spent most of the 1990s working at newspapers in Alabama serving as a beat writer for both Alabama and Auburn and been working in several sports media fields in Atlanta for the past decade.

Cultivating relationships with the famous and not-so-famous has been has been invaluable for Hunt during his professional career. Sure he’s sat down with the likes of Michael Jordan, Brett Favre, Bobby Bowden, Greg Maddux, Dale Earnhardt, and countless others, but it’s the relationships he’s formed with the everyday people within the sports word - the assistant coaches, sports information directors, trainers, etc. – that has made Hunt so successful in his sports career. Oh, and he absorbs a massive amount of sports information on a daily basis, so that helps, too!  Hunt knows he’s blessed without a doubt, so it is with joy that he works so hard to find success in an industry that is fun and profitable. And better times are ahead!
